The first thing we talked about was digital portfolios. Do you have one? Where to you keep it? Do you have a blog attached to it?
If your resume is online, be sure to remove the words I mentioned such as: jobs, apply, submit, sample, example, and benefits.
Next we talked about interviewing and I referenced the Slow Pitch technique. The following video walks you through the tactic again for review:
I have over 100 more free videos with tactics like these on my YouTube channel.

Next we talked about using LinkedIn to take advantage of Employee Referral Programs. Click Here to read my blog with the scripts you can use for that tactic.
We went on to talk about networking online using Facebook, endorsements, and asking for referrals to recruiters to get hiring managers involved in your search.
Lastly, we went over Trello and our customized jobs pipeline tool to track your search.
ALL of this that we talked about is available to you in the Networking Membership level of SpeedUpMyJobSearch.com: the digital portfolio, the place to write your professional blog, videos on how to network online, how to network in person, the custom Trello board, and a ton more. 100% of the profits from this site are reinvested into helping more job seekers, and it’s only $9 to $14 per month, depending on the duration you choose. I don’t think there’s another program anywhere that offers more for less and is designed to help more people. I hope you’ll consider joining so we can help even more people.
I also host a weekly Job Club called the Jobs Driven Networking Group which meets in Wheaton, IL every 3rd Thursday from 12:10pm to 12:50pm. Our next meeting is December 20th, on the topic of Job Search Coaching. At our November meeting, we dove deeply into what job seekers want from Networking Training, and what’s available. In December, using this feedback, Paul will present the structure will have developed to address these needs and solicit feedback from the attendees on the new program.
Every month we focus on a different aspect of networking to strengthen your skills and help you build your network. If you can’t make it at that time or location, we also host the group online! Every presentation is recorded and made available to online members.
Speakers have included Sarah Breithaupt, Lisle Township Job Club Facilitator; Denis Curtin, LinkedIn Expert; Jim Klink, TUG Career Services facilitator; Jim Fergle, WorkNet DuPage facilitator; Joy Maguire-Dooley, former Lisle Job Club facilitator and host of Job Talk radio; and many, many more. ALL presentations are available to JDNG Online members.
