I mentioned at the presentation I would be adding the actual document I send to my candidates prior to their interviews today, I have done so. Click here to see it.

Below is a members-only video from this site, free for the attendees of St. Hubert’s Ministry on February 14th.  It’s called Q&A Tactics and is a complete interview preparation video covering all of the topics we covered at the seminar. There is a timeline below it to so you can focus on the subjects in which you want the most help. Like all of our videos, this is mobile friendly, so watch whenever, and where ever you want!

This video will only be available for a limited time, so watch and take notes soon! Members get complete access to this video and ALL videos, and written transcripts of all videos if you would rather read than watch. If you want to find a job quickly, sign up today. This site can show you how to do it. Enjoy the video…

In the recruiting industry, the average Interview-to-Hire ratio across the country is 7 to 1, meaning for every 7 interviews the average recruiter arranges, they make 1 placement. My ratio is 3 to 1, and it will never improve from that because for every open position I get, I send at least 3 candidates, and they can’t all get the job. I firmly believe that the reason for that is more than just recruiting the most qualified candidates, it’s because of the techniques I teach to my candidates before I send them to my clients for their interviews.

In this video, I share my favorite interview tactics that I give to my candidates, plus a few more that I wish I had time to share with them. Unfortunately I just can’t squeeze them all into my 30 minute prep meeting. However, I do always send them the link to this video before their interviews so they can watch it on their own time and give themselves the best possible chance to land the job (and to help me as a recruiter to make more placements, these are the actual strategies I share with them).

The key is that I don’t give scripts here. Instead, I show tactics to present their experience truthfully, and in a way that creates interest from employers. Interviewers don’t want canned answers to common questions; they want to learn about you and determine if you’re worth hiring. This video will show you how to do that.

Multiple offers

Choosing between 2 or 3 offers and not sure how to decide? Try the following tool below.

Here’s how it works: It’s based on how the Olympic events are scored. For diving events for example, they first rank the difficulty of the dive before it’s made, then they rank the execution afterwards. Finally, they multiply the 2 and total the score to determine the winner. Same thing here. On the left side of the excel sheet you’ll see the important factors relevant to deciding between jobs. Rank those accurately for yourself first, before ranking performances. The explanation of the ranking 0 to 3 is directly above that column so you know how to rank them. If it’s a must-have, give it a 3, if it’s not important at all, give it a 0.

Then, the columns after that is how you rank each company’s performance in each category on a scale of 0 to 3, explained on the top of that section on the sheet. Rank the companies in each category, and the sheet will calculate which company wins Gold and which take Silver and Bronze.

This exercise is meant to be a guide, not to make the decision for you, but I’ve found it helps to clarify what is truly most important to each individual so they can more clearly see the best decision for their future and career.
